Punjab Green E-Taxi Scheme 2025: Online Registration Opens

Lahore, September 21, 2025 After months of anticipation, the Punjab government has officially launched the Green E-Taxi Scheme 2025. The Transport & Mass Transit Department has opened the online portal, allowing applicants to register for interest-free electric taxis.

In the first phase, 1,100 e-taxis will be distributed in Lahore, including 1,000 for fleet owners and 100 for individual drivers (70 for men and 30 for women).

This scheme is designed to reduce fuel dependency, cut pollution, and make eco-friendly mobility more affordable.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Green E-Taxi Scheme 2025, applicants must:

  • Be a resident of Punjab
  • Hold a valid CNIC and driving license
  • Be between 21 and 45 years (for individuals)
  • Be registered with a Transport Network Company (TNC)
  • Fleet owners must apply for at least 10 taxis
